Unique riding characteristics of the Easy Go

The Easy Go is a scooter bike with three wheels and is suitable for an adult. This special bike is specially designed for people with changing power and/or energy level. Important driving characteristics are highlighted below:

1. Van Raam’s 3-in-1 bike

The Easy Go is a scooter bike that, as indicated in the intro of this article, can be used in three ways:
1.     As a tricycle
2.     As a electric tricycle
3.     As a mobility scooter

It is easy to switch between the three different ways of cycling. These ways of cycling are further explained below:

Unique riding characteristics of the Easy Go scooter bike
1. The Easy Go as a tricycle

The Easy Go as a tricycle, means that you cycle completely on your own power without the help of support from a motor. The Easy Go is equipped with the unique Van Raam pedal support as a standard, but it’s possible to cycle without the pedal support.

2. The Easy Go as an electric tricycle

As soon as you switch on the pedal support, you can use it. With the help of this pedal assistance, you can keep cycling without much effort. Read more about the special features of the pedal support further on in this article.

3. The Easy Go as a mobility scooter

It is also possible to use the bike as a mobility scooter. Do you have no power (anymore) to cycle independently or with the pedal support? Then it is possible to switch to the mobility scooter mode. This allows you to fully use the bike as a mobility scooter without having to pedal. The electric bike will then move forward by the motor. The mobility scooter is easy to steer with the throttle that can be operated with your dump. With this, you control the speed and the degree of support.

2. Highly manoeuvrable and safe

The Easy Go is a manoeuvrable tricycle that is more compact than a regular mobility scooter. The scooter bike has a short turning radius and because the bike has three wheels, tipping over is not possible with normal use of the bike. The anti-tip wheels with which the bike is equipped, give you also an extra feeling of safety and security while cycling.Furthermore, the parking brake gives you extra safety so that the bike cannot roll away while getting on and off.

3. Comfortable cycling position

Getting on the Easy Go is easy due to the low and accessible entry level. The seat has a cushion and a backrest so that you can take a good cycling position. It also ensures that you sit easily and comfortably while cycling. The adjustable double suspension also gives you a stable and comfortable ride.

4. Riding both forwards and backwards

As indicated, as soon as you use the Easy Go as a mobility scooter, you can move forwards without having to pedal yourself. But did you know that it is also possible to drive backwards instead of forwards? With the throttle you can also drive backwards with the mobility scooter so you can easily turn around for example.

The Easy Go is specially designed for people with a changing power and/or energy level.

User experience scooter bike Easy Go - Ans Telling
Ans Telling was the first owner of the scooter bike, since it first officially came on the market in early 2014. The reason that Ans uses the Easy Go mobility scooter bike is because she has had a brain tumor and a stroke afterwards. After that time, Ans is struggling and has problems with her balance. Ans no longer dared to cycle and for someone who loves cycling, that is of course a big loss. Through the bicycle repair shop, she heard at the time that a mobility scooter bicycle had been introduced by Van Raam. Ans liked the fact that you did not have to drive only a mobility scooter, but did have that option. And so one thing led to another ...

Customer experience scooter bike Easy Go - Ankie van den Bosch
When they discovered I have Multiple Sclerosis* in 2000, I already had an e-bike for several years. Because my strength and energy continued to decrease, cycling became unsafe and I became insecure. It became difficult to get out of the car, to get away at a traffic light or to brake. And all this began to demand a lot of effort in traffic. I got scared when the wind was very strong. I avoided bridges and dunes.
