Customer experience Easy Sport recumbent trike – Ralf Maslak
For a year now, Ralf has been going on bike rides with his Easy Sport recumbent trike from Van Raam. In this customer experience, he tells how he likes it and why the Easy Sport is the perfect solution for him.
Introduction
“My name is Ralf Maslak and I am 51 years old. I live in Hürth, near Cologne. I enjoy cycling there. I used to ride the Van Raam Easy Rider, but for a year now I have owned the Easy Sport recumbent trike from Van Raam.”
Since Ralf has a visual impairment, a Van Raam bike is a suitable solution for him. Due to his impairment, Ralf has hardly any balance and is extremely sensitive, which makes cycling difficult. Nevertheless, Ralf wanted to find a way to stay mobile. Ralf Maslak: “Human beings are mobile creatures. Without movement, something is missing!” That’s why he was looking for a stable bike. That’s how he came across Van Raam and the Easy Sport.
Mobility with the Easy Sport recumbent trike
The Easy Sport has central suspension in the frame, which gives Ralf more stability. Ralf Maslak: “ I tried bikes from other manufacturers, but I really didn't feel comfortable with them. I've become so sensitive. Suspension on the wheel really complicated cycling for me”. Ralf now has a sense of safety when riding the bike. “On foot, I unfortunately cannot get from A to B safely. Thanks to the Easy Sport, I am able to do that again!”
Ralf has already had some enjoyable moments with the recumbent trike. He says: “I have a yellow, orange, and green bike tire. An older gentleman spoke to me and asked if they have a special function. I replied: 'It’s for direction, like on ships.' The way he looked at me was priceless!”
The Easy Sport recumbent trike for an optimal cycling experience
For an optimal cycling experience, Van Raam offers various options for the bikes. The Easy Sport recumbent trike can for example be equipped with pedal assistance, a comfort seat, mirror and basket.
Apart from these options, Ralf has further personalized the Easy Sport himself. To create his own optimal cycling experience, he has further modified the pedals and brakes.
All in all, Ralf is very satisfied with his Van Raam recumbent trike: “I am extremely happy with the bike! I ride the Easy Sport for about an hour a day and have covered approximately 1500 kilometers in a year. I would rate the bike a 10/10!”
