Customer experience Easy Rider adult trike - Martin Sloot
Martin Sloot (58) has osteoarthritis and Parkinson's disease. Recently he purchased the Easy Rider trike bike for adults, which opened up a world for him. Something he thought he couldn't do anymore, is possible again. Read Martin's story here.
Let's introduce
My name is Martin Sloot, I'm 58 years old and live together with my cat Sammy. I have arthritis in my knees and since last year I've got Parkinson's disease. Because of this I have balance disorders. I used to cycle on an electric 2 wheeler, but I don't trust myself with this anymore. Now, I got an Easy Rider adult trike.
I ended up at Van Raam via the occupational therapist. I looked at the bikes that Van Raam makes and eventually I bought the Easy Rider through Welzorg (now Mango Mobility). This trike bike for adults is really great, it opens up a world for me! I don't fall over anymore and the bike is very stable. Something I thought I couldn't do anymore, is possible again with the Easy Rider! If I want to stop somewhere along the way I don't have to worry that I have to get off the bike. With this bike, you even have 'your own seat' with you, so you basically don't have to look for a place to sit. I live near the coast and there are many dunes here. Then I just ride through the dunes with the electric pedal support. Where other people often have trouble with the dunes, I ride them with ease!
Van Raam can adjust everything to my wishes. I hope to be able to use this bike for a long time!

In terms of additional options, I have a reinforced frame, gears on the left side because of a tremor, a one-handed lock, a mirror and armrests. Van Raam can adjust everything to my wishes. I hope to be able to use this bike for a long time! So far I cycle about 100 km per month. I use the Easy Rider mainly for doctor visits, shopping, visiting friends and family and to enjoy cycling. I also use all the functionalities of the Van Raam e-bike app.
The Easy Rider trike bike for adultsis stable and light because of the pedal assistance. The seat is low to the ground so I can easily get on and off. People also start to greet me spontaneously. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give the bike an 11! If I could still wish for something in the future I would like a heavier battery.
