Customer experience Easy Rider electric 3-wheeler - Marco Alms
Marco is dependent on a wheelchair and because of his intervertebral discs and shoulder he cannot 'feel the wind through his hair' for a long time. Recently Marco got the Easy Rider electric 3 wheeler bike, which has opened new perspectives for him. Read Marco's story here.
A brief introduction of Marco
Marco: "I am 51 years young and live in Wietzendorf, Germany. Due to 4 operations on my intervertebral discs, I am unfortunately dependent on a wheelchair. At home, I can take a few steps with a walker, but not very far.
To participate in life again, I want to get outside more and build up muscles, so I bought the Easy Rider electric 3 wheeler. This has changed my life, because now I don't have to lie in bed alone."
Purchase of electric 3-wheel bike Easy Rider
"When I was researching on the internet to regain my mobility, I came across Van Raam. I visited Van Raam's website and searched for everything that was important to me and I found it.
I was able to make a test drive at a local dealer, who then sold me the Easy Rider electric 3 wheeler. Because the health insurance would not approve the bike for me, I started an appeal for donations. This made it possible for me to buy the Easy Rider 3 wheeler."
The two rear wheels provide a great feeling of security.
Marco AlmsMarco's individually special needs tricycle
Each Easy Rider can be adjusted to your own wishes. Read here which options Marco has and why.
Marco: "I have, because I do not have much strength in my legs yet, footrests for better grip. I also have armrests that offer me a lot of comfort and mirrors so I don't have to turn around to look back. I also chose a bike in the colour yellow because I am a fan of the German Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund.
Experience with the Easy Rider e-bike
"So far I like it so much that I don't even want to get off. Unfortunately, I can't ride such long distances yet. So far the furthest I've gone is 5 km. But I have already enjoyed them so much.
The backrest is very comfortable, with the armrests. It simply offers a secure hold, especially for back problems.
The electric pedal support makes it possible to get going quickly, and of course it's a relief if you don't have much strength in your legs yet. Since I also have to deal with a bit of dizziness from time to time, the tricycle is an absolute help for safe cycling. The two wheels at the back give me a great sense of security."
I give the Easy Rider a 10, I am absolutely satisfied and find it highly recommendable.
Marco AlmsSmart e-bike app with the Van Raam pedal support
"The Van Raam app is wonderful. I can see how fast I'm going, how many kilometres I'm riding. Later, I can see where I have ridden. I also find it important that I can see how full the battery is and when I need to charge it. I think the SOS button is really great and important. If there is an emergency, the subscriber gets an SMS with the location of where I am.*
*This was possible with the old app, the app has since been updated, allowing users to view bike information and switch support modes within the app.
A simply great tricycle!
I get consistently positive feedback, reactions about the EasyRider 3, what a great and chic bike it is. I give the Easy Rider a 10, I am absolutely satisfied and find it highly recommendable.
I always like to tell people that and share my stories, not only on social media but also with newspapers, such as the Böhme Zeitung, a large newspaper in our region of Heidekreis / Lower Saxony.
