User experience tricycle Easy Rider - Jolanda Segers-Geurts
Since 2013 I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and since the end of 2016 I have been a very happy owner of a Van Raam Easy Rider, delivered via the WMO (Social Support Act).
Reason for purchasing an adaptive bike
After I repeatedly fell with my "normal" bicycle, because of my balance, I got rid of my bike. After I also had to give up my car, my world became very small and I went from an independent woman to someone who had to ask other people to take me somewhere.
This was very difficult for me. At the De Tolbrug rehabilitation center, a Movement teacher taught me how to ride a tricycle. The problems I had with a "normal" tricycle were gone and I immediately cycled away on the Easy Rider. Because of the low center of gravity, the cycling went effortlessly and the pedal support helped me enormously!
I am very happy with the bike! I have my freedom and independence back. This bike gave me a piece of my life back.

Climbing against MS
I also have made a lot of plans again. Next year (2020), I want to cycle up the Mont Ventoux (mountain in France) with my Easy Rider for “Climbing against MS”. And in the meantime, I am now an experience expert for catheters, and I go to fairs a few times a year with the supplier. A large banner has been created for this. They used the photo above and of course my Van Raam Easy Rider is included because the theme is about regaining your freedom, and that includes my bike!
Visiting the Van Raam factory
On April 16, 2019, Jolanda and her husband visited our new bicycle factory in Varsseveld at Guldenweg 23. They got an extensive tour in our factory and every step in the production process was viewed extensively. At the end of the tour, Jolanda and her husband made a test ride with the Fun2Go side by side tandem on the Van Raam bicycle test track and an Easy Rider tricycle from the showroom. "I enjoyed the tour, you can be proud!", Said Jolanda.
