Customer experience with the Easy Rider electric tricycle bike - Franziska

From a men's bicycle to an electric tricycle bike
“My name is Franziska, I am 47 years old and since 2022 I have had an electric tricycle bike: the Easy Rider from Van Raam. Before this, I had a two-wheeler with a high crossbar; a men's bike. I have mobility issues due to my multiple sclerosis and am therefore afraid of falling with a standard bike.”
Test ride and purchase of the Easy Rider
“A colleague of mine also has an electric tricycle bike from Van Raam. This is how I learned about the Easy Rider. I went to the same dealer where my colleague bought the tricycle, which was e-motion Wabern. Here I took a test ride and received very professional advice. They really thought along with me. First, I practiced maneuvering the electric tricycle bike indoors. After that, I was allowed to go outside; it was like flying!
To purchase the electric tricycle bike, I received a contribution from the disability insurance and financed the remaining amount myself.”

“It is really great, I love the comfortable seat and the practical low step-through. My Easy Rider tricycle has a start aid, electric pedal assistance, adjusted suspension, and a basket. I use the electric tricycle bike very often. I ride 12 km in all weather to go horseback riding, also to singing, and just for fun, often 20 km. So far, I have cycled more than 1600 km.
Very often people wave at me or find the bike cool. Moreover, I can keep up with my friends and family on the bike.
Once, one morning, I was riding past a cornfield and suddenly a deer came out of the field. It looked at me. We stood eye to eye until it disappeared back into the field. This was a beautiful moment on the bike.”
An 8 for the Easy Rider tricycle
“I give the Easy Rider an 8. What I find very positive about the Easy Rider are the electric assistance, the safety of the three wheels, and the ability to ride well on unpaved roads. This is fantastic.
What I struggle with is that the motor could sometimes be a bit stronger and the tricycle sometimes takes a while to engage on a slope. Another downside is that the bike is large, making it not easy to transport.
With my Easy Rider, I can safely go outside again and move in nature without overexerting myself. It gives so much pleasure.”
