New Van Raam e-bike app

Starting from October 2024, a new Van Raam e-bike app will be available. The Van Raam e-bike app is a free smartphone application that you can use while riding your electric Van Raam bike. With this app, you can easily switch between support modes.

Wheelchair bicycle taxi service in Finland

Jimmy Gustafson has a wheelchair taxi service in the town of Porvoo, Finland. With the Van Raam VeloPlus wheelchair transport bike they cycle 5 days a week from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. and they transport 4 to 8 people on a day, these are mainly elderly people.

As a producer of special needs bicycles, all Van Raam bicycles are produced in our own factory in Varsseveld. One of the advantages of this is that we can develop the bike completely to the customer's wishes. Every Van Raam bicycle can be equipped with a lot of options to make the bike suitable. If this is not enough, frame adjustments are possible or we make larger adjustments and we tailor the bike completely. For example, we recently made a special Easy Rider Small tricycle for Tim.

More and more Van Raam bikes leave our factory with electrical assistance/ pedal support (e-bike). The electric pedal support increases the reach of the cyclist enormously. With wind or a hilly area the driver can easily cover large distances.

Van Raam produces bicycles for all ages with specific adjustments for every disability. There are bicycles with which children with a disability can cycle themselves and special bicycles with which they can cycle together. There are also bicycles with which children with a disability can be transported. At Van Raam we produce different types of tricycles for young and old, but also tandems, wheelchair bikes, double rider cycles and transport bikes. Tim Hofman, host of "Je zal het maar hebben", a Dutch TV show whose translation literally means, "You would have it", takes a look into the lives of young people who have an illness or disability. In one of the episodes he visited Pieter Van Diepen (32 years old) who has had a brain haemorrhage. Because of the brain haemorrhage, Pieter has some disabilities, but he enjoys life and the things he can still do, such as cycling on the Van Raam tricycle Easy Sport.
