An expert, independent commission in Norway has tested different types of special needs bicycles in connection with a multi-year public procurement. Several aspects were important for this tender. These were rated with a specific weighting coefficient. In the tricycle category, Van Raam was rated best in terms of overall quality.
Bicycles for children with a disability
Van Raam produces bicycles for all ages with specific adjustments for every disability. There are bicycles with which children with a disability can cycle themselves and special bicycles with which they can cycle together. There are also bicycles with which children with a disability can be transported. At Van Raam we produce different types of tricycles for young and old, but also tandems, wheelchair bikes, double rider cycles and transport bikes. New pictures of all tricycles for adults
As a manufacturer of special needs bikes we make special bikes for everybody who is not able to ride a regular two-wheel bike (anymore). So we make bicycles for example for people who need more stability while cycling or for childeren and adults with a disability or disease that makes cycling on a two-wheel bike impossible.
Cycling on a tricycle for adults
If you have experience with cycling on a normal bicycle, you should take into account that a tricycle cycles totally different. Small children or adults who have never ridden a tricycle before simply ride it. Adults have to get used to a completely different cycling behaviour. On the Van Raam website, we have listed the specific characteristics of each three-wheeler model. We advise you to find out for yourself which model you like best. If you want to try out a bike or if you have already bought a tricycle, we advise you to follow the instructions below.
