As of October 15, 2024, Van Raam has implemented a significant name change. Van Raam Reha Bikes B.V. will now be known as Van Raam Mobility B.V. This rebranding underscores Van Raam's ambition to make mobility accessible to a broader, international audience while continuing its commitment to innovative solutions for inclusive cycling mobility.

Van Raam looks beyond rehabilitation

Traditionally, Van Raam has focused on the rehabilitation sector, but with the new name, the company aims to emphasize that its products cater to a much wider audience. Van Raam sees growth in a new demographic: seniors for whom a traditional two-wheeler is no longer a safe option but who still wish to cycle and maintain their independence.

“We will continue to serve people with disabilities, but our bikes are for anyone who wants to experience mobility, independence, and freedom,” says Jan-Willem Boezel, CEO of Van Raam. “With the new name, Van Raam Mobility, we are signaling that we are ready for the future and are focusing on mobility in the broadest sense of the word, without being limited to one specific sector.”

International ambition and inclusivity

The new name not only reflects the broader vision but also Van Raam's international ambition. With customers in over 20 countries and a growing demand for adaptive bicycles worldwide, the shift to a name with an international character is a logical step.

“Our slogan, ‘Let’s all cycle,’ perfectly captures what we stand for. We want everyone to have the opportunity to cycle, regardless of age or physical ability. We call this inclusive cycling mobility. Cycling represents freedom, independence, and sustainability, and we aim to promote that worldwide,” says Boezel.
