The OPair wheelchair bike is suitable for people who are no longer able to ride a bike independently. It offers a combination of a wheelchair and a bicycle intended for two people, where the wheelchair user can sit in the front in a seat. The bike has been developed over the years. The seat of the OPair can be adjusted in many ways. For example, the depth and angle of the backrest can be adjusted to suit the person individually. In this way, the bicycle is suitable for almost everyone who is in a wheelchair or can no longer cycle independently. Optionally, a separate seat shell can be used or mounted. For children and smaller adults, there is also the option of attaching additional side supports.
The extendable footrests on the seat of the OPair can also be individually adjusted to the person, not only in length but also in angle. This increases the comfort of the passenger enormously.
The slightly inclined front wheels of the OPair wheelchair bicycle provide more driving comfort and stability.
As an option, the wheelchair bike is also available with a detachable frame. The front part can then be easily detached from the rest of the bicycle frame. This gives you flexibility when transporting the bicycle and at the same time this part can be used as a wheelchair on site. The OPair wheelchair bike from Van Raam can optionally be equipped with the unique pedal support. Since 2011 there has been a separate electric pedal support system, the Silent System.
