Unique riding characteristics of the Easy Rider
The Easy Rider is a tricycle for adults in the Van Raam product range. It is the third generation of the model and a lot of attention has been paid to the seating comfort in the design of this bike to make cycling as pleasant as possible for the user. The Easy Rider has a beautiful and modern design and is therefore a favourite and popular tricycle among its users. Many users simply cycle away with it the first time they ride the bike. A perfect riding comfort
The Easy Rider is designed in such a way that you make a forward pedal movement while cycling. In combination with the suspension in the frame, this ensures perfect riding comfort. There is a choice of three types of suspension for extra comfort and as a shock absorber for the frame. Which is suspension is chosen depends on the weight of the cyclist. There is the standard suspension (80 – 110 kg), the lighter suspension (up to 80 kg) and a heavier, more rigid suspension (over 110 kg). Many people find the Easy Rider easier to ride than a traditional tricycle. The handlebars of the bike are located in front of you so you can easily reach them. Due to the combination of the handlebars, pedal movement and suspension in the frame, you have less strain on your back, shoulders, neck and your wrists.
The tricycle has mechanical disc brakes on the front of the bike and a hydraulic disc brake on the back of the bike. Disk brakes er brakes with the most braking force, even in wet weather. Disc brakes also ensures that your rim does not wear out.
The Easy Rider gives a very safe and secure feeling to the users because the centre of gravity is low, there is a backrest on the seat and because the handlebars are in front of you.
A unique bicycle frame
The Easy Rider has a unique hydroformed bicycle frame. Because of the shape of the frame, the bike has a low entry so you can easily sit down on the bike. Another advantage of this bike frame is that the centre of gravity of this bike is also low. Because of this, the bike has a stable and low sitting position that provides a safe feeling while cycling. This also ensures good riding characteristics of the bike during cycling.The Easy Rider gets a sporty look because of the hydroformed tubes and because the cables run through the frame.
The frame is available in two sizes. The Medium (standard) size and the Large (larger) size. This makes the bike suitable for both smaller and larger adults. Which frame is suitable, depends on the inner leg length. The Medium is for an inseam between 65 – 88 centimeters and the Large for 85 – 108 cenimeters.
A comfortable seating
The seat of the Easy Rider is very comfortable. The tricycle has a comfortable seat with tailbone relief as a standard. This is a comfortable seat which is rounded in the front and has raised edges on the side which makes a comfortable seating. The backrest gives a lot of support on the back and ensures a comfortable sitting position. The mesh in the backrest provides good division and fewer pressure points. An additional advantage to this seat is that it is possible to easily adjust the distance of the seat with back support with one lever: the quick release lever.

Pedal support
The Easy Rider is available with many different options. A popular option is the unique Van Raam pedal support. This powerful pedal assistance had 3 support modes and a starting aid so you can easily start cycling. A unique feature is that it is possible to cycle backwards with the pedal assistance. With the pedal assistance option, you have a Smart E-Bike. This is a ‘smart bike’ that is connected to the internet. The advantage of this is that the smart battery can remotely give a lot of information about your bike and the battery through the E-Bike App.
Free e-bike app
With the accompanying and free e-bike app you can adjust the level of support of the 3 pedal assistance modes yourself so that you have the right support. You can also use the E-Bike App to send an SOS message with GPS location and view your current bike data, such as speed, distance, cycled route and battery capacity. Looking inside the Van Raam bicycle factory
Every bicycle at Van Raam is produced in the bicycle factory in Varsseveld. There is a lot involved in the production of a bicycle. For example, the tubes have to be machined into a fame, the frame has to be given the desired colour, all parts are collected in the warehouse, the wheels are put together and the bicycle can finally be assembled. Innovative techniques are used for this production process, such as the 3 printer, robot welders and a modern warehouse system.
