Every Van Raam bike can be upgraded with different accessories. These accessories allow you to put together your special needs bike to your own taste and wishes. The Van Raam Easy Rider tricycle can also be upgraded with different options and accessories. Read more about these accessories here.
The Easy Rider tricycle is a sit-on tricycle for adults. There are many accessories available for the Easy Rider. Many of these accessories will help you with your cycling and support you with your disability. Van Raam's mission is therefore: Van Raam offers people with a disability sustainable and contemporary mobility.
With the special needs bikes and possible accessories Van Raam tries to let everyone cycle (again) and make them mobile. The Easy Rider tricycle is therefore suitable for people who can no longer cycle on a regular two-wheeler. Because of the unique frame there is a low entry and a stable lower seating position. Because your centre of gravity is low, you sit on a seat with a backrest and you have a handlebar in front of you, you feel safe and secure. A basket on your Easy Rider is very handy for taking your stuff with you, such as your bag or your groceries.

For extra safety you can choose a mirror or two mirrors on your handlebar of your Easy Rider. With the mirror it is possible to have a good overview of the area behind you

With armrests you can rest your arms on the armrests while cycling.
Because there are so many accessories, it can be difficult to determine which ones you need. It's important to first determine which special needs bike suits you best. A disability can be anything, that's why there are many different types of special needs bikes. Van Raam has many different models of bikes, including different tricycles, so there is often a bike to suit your needs.
During a test ride it is possible to find out which bike with which accessories you want and need. A test ride is possible in the showroom at Van Raam in Varsseveld and at some Van Raam dealers. During a test ride at Van Raam you will get an extensive explanation by a Van Raam technical advisor. Together we will look at which bike suits you best. You can try out different bikes and they will also look at which accessories are right for you. In the Van Raam showroom there are several Easy Rider tricycles available, with different accessories.
After the test ride, you will get a tour of the factory and a no-obligation quote to take home with you. This quote is for the special needs bike that suits you best and any accessories for this bike. With this quote it is possible to order your Van Raam Easy Rider with accessories at a Van Raam dealer.

In addition to many accessories, an Easy Rider can also be upgraded with pedal support. Van Raam's electric pedal support system is called the Silent System. The motor, the batteries, the controller, the software and the Smart display have all been developed for and by Van Raam itself. The pedal support is easy to operate via the display on the handlebar of your Easy Rider. This display has an on/off button, assistance setting 1 (eco mode), assistance setting 2 (comfort mode), assistance setting 3 (sport mode) and a starting aid (the bike symbol). With the starting aid, the engine gives you extra support for 10 seconds so that you can easily cycle away from a stop.
A unique feature of the pedal support is that it is possible to cycle backwards when the support is switched on. This allows you to turn around easily and safely. Read and watch the video about this in the article: 'Riding backwards with pedal support on a custom bike'.
The Van Raam E-Bike App for your smartphone can be used while cycling on your electric Van Raam Easy Rider. With the Van Raam app, you can set a different support mode on your Van Raam bike.
The Easy Rider has the standard color 'Granite grey', in addition to that colour the designers at Van Raam have selected a number of other colors that they think fit the Easy Rider nicely and well. It may be that you like this colour, or one of the other suggested colours, but it is also possible that you want an Easy Rider in a colour of your choice.
At Van Raam it is possible to have your ordered bike powder coated in a (available) RAL colour on request for an additional price. This way it's possible to personalize your bike even more besides your accessories. The standard frame of the Easy Rider may not be suitable for you. It is therefore possible to order an Easy Rider with a reinforced, extended or divisible frame. The maximum weight on a 'standard' Easy Rider frame is 120 kilograms, but it is possible to reinforce the frame of the tricycle to 150 kilograms with a maximum of 180 kilograms. The Easy Rider also offers the option of an XL seat, should the current seat be too small.
If you feel that you are too long for the Easy Rider, it is also possible to opt for an extended bicycle frame. The Easy Rider will then be 15 centimetres longer. With a divisible frame, the front part of the Easy Rider can be disconnected from the rest. In this way, the bike takes up less space and can be taken along more easily on a holiday, for example. Read more about a divisible frame in the article: 'A divisible frame at Van Raam bicycles'.
A special accessory for the Easy Rider is shoulder control. This option is only possible for the tricycle Easy Rider. An example of someone who has an Easy Rider with shoulder control is Chelsea Zijlstra. Chelsea has progressive spinal muscular atrophy (PSMA) and was looking for a bike where she does not have to use her arms to steer.
Van Raam developed the Easy Rider tricycle with shoulder control for people who don't have arms or can't use them. The steering is done with your torso/shoulders and the shifting is done with your feet.
