Customer experience wheelchair transport bike VeloPlus - Toon & Joyce
Last week Toon and Joyce came to visit us and they made a successfull test ride with the wheelchair transport bike VeloPlus. They liked the bike so much, that they will soon get their own bike. We wish that Toon and Joyce will make a lot of beautiful bike rides with the VeloPlus and we hope that they can enjoy it for a long time! Read the first experiences of Joyce and Toon below.
Diagnosed with ALS
About two years ago Toon was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and from that moment on there were a lot off examinations, medical care care, mobility aids and other related articles. An environment that we had never experienced before.
As the disease progresses, more mobility aids are provided so we are able to continue to do everything with a positive outlook.
Last week we visited Van Raam with the idea: "The weather will be nice and we want to cycle!". If that is not possible with a regular bike, then we will use a cargo bike. We made a test ride on the Van Raam test track in Varsseveld with the VeloPlus and then we made the decision: "this is it!"

Toon & JoyceA test ride with a wheelchair bike
We had a few very pleasant conversations and THINKING ALONG was the common thread with the result that we are now cycling with a temporary wheelchair bicycle, only 5 days after the test ride. Our own cargo bike will arive around Easter. Many companies talk about CSR and Social Return, but Van Raam lives up to this! A wonderful company in the Achterhoek.
Last Sunday we made our Maiden voyage with 20 degrees Celsius!!! We hope that we can enjoy the beautiful VeloPlus from Van Raam throughout the summer.
