Customer experience Balance low entry bike - Huub Duivenvoorden
Huub has always enjoyed cycling, but he started losing his balance more frequently and found cycling increasingly difficult. He now has a Balance bike with a lowered entry point, and his children are super proud that he's riding his bike more often.
Enjoying cycling again
"My name is Huub Duivenvoorden. I'm 73 years old, married and I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. I've lived in Almere for a long time and have been retired for a few years now, which means I have a lot of time for fun things. Welding, repairing things, boating, fishing, and enjoying cycling again since recently."
Balance low-entry bike
"Cycling with my old bike was getting harder and I started losing my balance more frequently. This made cycling less enjoyable for me. I used to work in rehabilitation for years and had a lot of experience with adaptations, so I was familiar with Van Raam bikes. I went for a test ride at Van Raam, which was very pleasant. And through Kersten Hulpmiddelen, I ordered a Balance bike with a lowered entry point from Van Raam."
Proud children
"I love the Balance bike! I have pedal assistance and pedal extensions on the bike. I use the Balance bike for recreation and shopping, where I used to take the car. I've cycled more than 800 kilometers in a few months. My children are super proud of me because I'm cycling more often again.
