Single-sided operation

If you can only use one hand while cycling, it is crucial to have all controls on the same side of the handlebar. The single-sided operation option allows you to place all controls, including the brake lever, on your preferred side, either left or right. This ensures effective braking, as this option typically comes with a single brake lever that operates both braking systems. Additional options, such as direction indicators and thumb throttle, can be added to make controlling the bike easier.

Besides the single-sided operation, Van Raam also offers the preferred control option. This is suitable if you can still use both hands for braking but prefer to use one hand (your preferred hand) for most controls. In the preferred control option, the main braking system and other selected control items are placed on one side of the handlebar, while the secondary brake and bell are on the other side. Other controls are positioned according to your preference

You can order this option from your Van Raam dealer when you order a Van Raam bicycle. It is not possible to have this option mounted on your bike afterward.
