Yet for a lot of people it is not guaranteed that they will be able to breathe normally. Because of a lung disease it is not always possible for these people to do the things they actually want to do. In some cases, aids offer a solution. Cycling despite chronic shoulder problems

Shoulder problems are very annoying and can have various causes. For example, think of rheumatism, prostheses, painful joints, artificial joints or even having to miss a body part. Nearly 1 in 6 of world’s population suffer from neurological disorders, according to a UN report. Neurological disorders are, for example, Alzheimer and Parkinson disease, strokes, multiple sclerosis and brain injuries, depression, autism and neuroinfections. All these disorders have a major impact on the patient's life. Where people used to be mobile and independent, it is sometimes difficult to accept that walking around with the dog is sometimes no longer possible. With your special needs bike you can make a bike ride in your own area. Sometimes you also want to cycle in a different environment or other country, which is too far to cycle. With a custom trailer or roof-top carrier for special needs bicycles, mounted on your car, you can take your bike with you. At Van Raam we do not have trailers or roof-top carriers in our assortment. New Van Raam E-Bike app

From 1-11-2018 a new Van Raam E-Bike app is available. The Van Raam E-Bike (bicycle) app is a free smartphone app that you can use while cycling on your electric Van Raam bike. This app can be used as a luxurious bike computer for all Van Raam bicycles with pedal assistance. Furthermore, the app includes other additional features such as an SOS function and a function which allows you to adjust the pedal assistance while cycling.

Wheelchair bicycle taxi service in Finland

Jimmy Gustafson has a wheelchair taxi service in the town of Porvoo, Finland. With the Van Raam VeloPlus wheelchair transport bike they cycle 5 days a week from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. and they transport 4 to 8 people on a day, these are mainly elderly people.
