Liesbeth Snijder is using her OPair wheelchair bike from Van Raam as taxi in Epe, the Netherlands. She offers a cycling opportunity for people who are no longer able to cycle on their own anymore. Since April 2019, the OPair wheelchair bike has been used to take people from one place to another or for people who just want to take a bike ride.
At Van Raam, manufacturer of special needs bikes, we get more and more demand for electric tandems. Just like with the conventional two-wheel bike, people also want pedal support at the tandems bike. Since May 2019, Van Raam has expanded its range of adapted bicycles with the transport bike Chat. With the Chat rickshaw bicycle it is possible for a bicycle driver to transport two passengers. Thanks to the specially designed cockpit where design and ergonomics come together, passengers can enjoy a comfortable bike ride together. In which country is it better to organize an international bicycle festival than in the Netherlands? In the country where there are more bicycles than people and where special cycle highways have been built for cyclists. That's why, 14, 15 and 16 June, the International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF) took place in Groningen and Van Raam was of course present with its (newest) transport bikes / cargo bikes.

In Bocholt (Germany), a very special and original wedding transport was chosen by a bridal couple. After the ceremony at the local town hall, the newlyweds stepped on a decorated Van Raam Fun2Go double rider cycle.
De Schauw in Putten (the Netherlands), a residential care facility for the elderly, received a Van Raam VeloPlus wheelchair bicycle sponsored by the local thrift store. This thrift store has existed for 35 years and has therefore held a special fundraising campaign. The festive handover of the wheelchair bike was in September 2018.
