These were rated with a specific weighting coefficient. One of the categories focused on side-by-side tandems, also known as side-by-side three-wheel tandems.

Recently we found on social media a nice music video from the British band Hot Soles. The bicycle is a popular means of transport. Besides the normal two-wheel bike, you see more and more special or adapted bikes in the streets. For example, more and more use is being made of a two person bike, such as the Fun2Go duo bike, also called the side-by-side tandem, and the wheelchair transport bike VeloPlus. A duo bike (two person bicycle) is the ideal bike for elderly people who can no longer cycle independently, blind people, people with balance problems, people with disabilities and people who are wheelchair dependent. From Hilary Staples, an enthusiastic cyclist, we received an email about the duo bike Fun2Go. During one of her bicycle tours, together with Steven, she met two men riding on the double rider cycle. She really got inspired by the story of the guys on the side by side tandem, that she wrote an article about them at her website Holland-Cycling.com, a website with all the information and inspiration you need to come and explore Holland on your bike. With this story about special needs bikes, she hopes that it will inspire people with disabilities to cycle.

Now available at Van Raam: the Funtrain. This Funtrain trailer for the Fun2Go double rider tandem creates a bike train for 4 people. The Funtrain is an automatic, hydraulically braked bike trailer that can be connected behind an existing or new Fun2Go tandem bike. In this way an attendant can cycle safely with three co-drivers/passengers or with only one co-driver/passenger on the Fun2Go itself.
