In cooperation with our dealer CombiComfort and the Ajax Foundation, we made a special Van Raam’s Ajax wheelchair transport bike for Frank, a passionate Ajax fan. (AFC Ajax is one of the largest and most storied clubs in European football).
As a manufacturer of special needs bicycles we fabricate many different special bikes such as tricycles, (side-by-side) tandems low step through bikes and wheelchair bikes. Alle Van Raam bikes can be extended with several options, accessory and are available in almost any RAL-color. For an avid Ajax-fan we made a vey special wheelchair transport bike, a real AFC-Ajax bike!Â
The VeloPlus wheelchair transport bike is special for Frank in the Ajax colors painted in our factory in Varsseveld (in the Netherlands). In order to fully complete the bicycle, the bike is fitted with Ajax-wheel disks and official Ajax stickers and logos.
On the photos below you can see the Ajax wheelchair bike is produced and assembled at the factory at Van Raam.
All players of the 1st team like Jasper Cillissen, Jairo Riedewald, Richedly Bazoer, Davy Klaassen and Lasse Schöne have as surprise for the proud owner of the wheelchair bike put their signatures on the bike.

Tuesday, February 16 was the big day of the presentation of the VeloPlus wheelchair transportbike. The Veloplus, designed for transporting people , who can remain seated in their own wheelchair, by cycle was handed in the Amsterdam Arena, home of Ajax!
To deliver this special wheelchair bike, the Ajax Foundation invited Frank at the Amsterdam Arena (soccer stadium). For this special occasion Van Raam has deliverd the bike together with our oldest employee, Mr Kluver (93 years). Below you can see a photo report of the Ajax bike being delivered at the Amsterdam Arena.

This wheelchair bike in Ajax-style Frank was obviously very special, but at Ajax they were already familiar with the special bikes Van Raam. Edwin Van der Sar, marketing director at Ajax, which has a Edwin Van Der Sar Foundation, already donated several Fun2Go side-by-side tandems.
For people who can’t (no longer) cycle on a regular bike and who are wheelchair-dependent we have a good and safe alternative. The wheelchair bikes are used to enable a wheelchair –dependent person to travel by cycle. Van Raam special needs bikes has various types of wheelchairbikes: The OPair wheel-chair bike and the VeloPlus wheelchair transport bike. Research shows that many people do a Google search for an electric bicycle for disabled people. Van Raam produces special needs bicycles for people with a disability or a limitation. We see ourselves more as manufacturers of bicycles for people who have problems with a "normal" bike. We have several bicycles for disabled people and people with a problem when cycling.
