The Van Raam bicycles can be expanded with many options of your choice. These options vary from a mirror or direction indicator, to a leg fixation, backrest or foot fixation. The side-by-side tandem bike Fun2Go and side-by-side tandem trailer FunTrain are the only bikes with the option of a rotatable seat. Read more about this option, how it works and watch the video in this article.
The optional rotating chair has a big advantage over a non rotating chair. The rotatableseat makes it easier to get on the side-by-side tandem. As soon as the seat has been turned outwards with the lever, a simple sit-down movement can be used to take a seat on the chair. After sitting down, the seat can be turned back to the bicycle position. The body does not have to turn itself, this is what the seat does. This movement works the same when getting off the bicycle, only in the opposite direction.
With the swivel seat, it is also possible to use the side-by-side tandem by people who normally would have difficulty getting on and off the bike. With this option cycling is possible (again) for many people. Let's all cycle!
The rotatable seat is easy to use and can be operated in two ways.
1. Pull the handle to the front and rotate the seat. The seat locks itself.
2. Pull the handle again to rotate the seat back. The seat locks itself again.
The second way:
1. Pull the handle on the side of the chair backwards and turn the seat. The seat locks automatically.
2. Pull the handle on the side of the chair backwards and turn the seat to its normal position. The seat locks automatically.

At Van Raam, in addition to the rotatable seat, there are other options available for your special needs bike. With the side-by-side tandem, for example, you can choose for an electric model. This gives you support while cycling. A retractable footplate can also be mounted on the side-by-side tandem, the co-driver can use this option to place his/her feet on the plate if he/she no longer wants to pedal. With optional seatbelts, extra safety is guaranteed.
But also options such as a stick holder, mirror, direction indicator, holder to carry a wheelchair or walker, foot and leg fixations or a crankshortener are possible.
The side-by-side tandem Fun2Go comes standard in the colour matt steel blue, but another colour is also available on request.
The swivel seat is not only suitable for the Fun2Go side-by-side tandem, but also for the FunTrain side-by-side tandem trailer. The FunTrain can be connected behind a Fun2Go, allowing one companion to cycle with three co-drivers. A tow bar is mounted on the Fun2Go. The FunTrain has a safety clutch that cannot come loose and an automatic, hydraulic, overrun brake. This gives the driver of the front tandem bike 100% control over the Funtrain and Fun2Go. With the FunTrain you can also choose rotatable seat(s) or other options.
