Van Raam produces uniquely special needs bicycles and specializes in tricycles, transport bikes, scooterbikes, wheelchair bikes, tandem bikes, double rider bikes, and low step trough bikes (also known as comfortbikes). Each model is also available as an electric bike (Pedelec).

Van Raam special needs bikes builds an extension to the production space. There will be an extra area of 1800M2 end of this year.
In 1910, Van Raam  started in Amsterdam, in 1972 Van Raam moved to Aalten in the eastern part of the Netherlands. In 2004 Van Raam special needs bikes moved to Varsseveld.  At this moment the area of property is 5000m2 with 1800m2 extension it will be 6800M2. The spraying (powder) is increased, there will be more assembly space and a new staff canteen, showers and toilets.

A large part of the warehouse and the assembly will be moved in the new area. Van Raam. Will be able to handle the increase the production of special needs bikes better and have more room for new developments.

In January 2019 Van Raam moved into the new company building at Guldenweg 23 in Varsseveld. Meanwhile, Van Raam has continued to grow and is short of space in the current building. Therefore, Van Raam has build a new building, located directly next to the large commercial building. The building was ready in early 2022. Van Raam has moved! From January 2019 Van Raam can be found at the Guldenweg 23 in Varsseveld. All Van Raam bicycles are produced in a new, modern factory. The new company building is 13,500 m2 and besides the production of the adaptive bicycles there is also a large showroom where you can make a test ride by appointment. The last weeks few weeks were all about Christmas, New Year’s Eve and the beginning of 2019. Despite this, our employees were also finishing the new Van Raam factory. Meanwhile, the first official working week after the holidays is almost over and we look back on a week of finishing things up but also starting new things. In this article we look back on the period of the Christmas holidays and we give you the most recent updates and photos of our new business premises.
