Friday, June 25, 2021 Van Raam employees have placed a maypole at the new Van Raam factory hall next to the Van Raam premises. Read more about this special surprise and the poem attached to the maypole here.
A common tradition is to place a maypole next to a newly built house, barn or business premises. When the highest point is reached, a maypole is placed symbolically as a sign of sympathy and congratulations.
Van Raam's employees wanted to surprise the management (Ronald Ruesink, Jan-Willem Boezel and Marjolein Boezel) and had already been preparing for several weeks to place the maypole next to the new factory hall. This factory hall is being built next to the Van Raam premises.
Friday, June 25 was the day. The maypole was collected and then transported with a special vehicle to Van Raam. In the canteen at Van Raam, several employees from different departments made paper roses and then hung them outside in the 10 meter long tree.
Over the employee parking lot the maypole was brought to the new factory hall. Using a shovel, the tree was placed in the created hole.
The maypole has been given a nice spot next to the new factory hall. The management was able to view the tree in the evening and was pleasantly surprised. Commercial director Ronald Ruesink:"It's great that the employees have placed a maypole. They must have thought: It's time for another party, let's put up a maypole, haha."

A maypole is usually accompanied by a poem. In such a poem, funny events are often shared and the owners are congratulated. A number of employees at Van Raam are very good poets and have made the following poem (in Dutch):
Voor Ronald, Jan-Willem en Marjolein,
Ruim 2 jaar later staan wij hier alweer met een grote boom,
Want Van Raam is on fire en flink op stoom.
Grootse plannen worden er gemaakt en hier wordt veel tijd en energie in gestoken.
Allereerst moest er in de vacaturebank worden gedoken.
Dit om een paar kopstukken te scoren om samen met jullie de kar te trekken.
Gezamenlijk gaan voor die stip op de horizon om de hele wereld de Van Raam fiets te laten ontdekken.
De service afdeling hoopt in 2022 naar de nieuwe hal te kunnen verhuizen.
En als het voltooid is willen wij natuurlijk de boom nat maken of met andere woorden ‘lekker buizen’
Want Corona heeft wel wat roet in het eten gegooid wat betreft de borrels en reisjes.
Het leven met mondkapjes en 1.5 meter voelt wel wat bekoeld en stijfjes.
Jullie ondernemen Van Raam met veel visie en moed.
Een mooi product dat doet de werkgelegenheid goed.
Het zal niet altijd gladjes gaan,
maar ook met een ommetje kom je weer op de baan.

Ronald, jij bent onze marktkoopman en stuurt ons verkoopteam aan met veel elan.
Jan-Willem, jij bent het innovatieve brein en voor alles wat heeft te maken met de digitale fabriek moet je bij jou zijn.
Marjolein, jij bent diegene die alles in goede banen leidt. Af en toe bijsturen waar nodig en heel erg van deze tijd.

Hadden jullie al snel het plan klaar.
Het hoogste punt is bijna bereikt dus doen wij bij deze onze plicht.
Daar staat ie dan een meiboom met gedicht.
Ook aan parkeerplekken kwam een tekort.
Dus dit moest ook worden aangepakt zodat er niet meer wordt gemord.
Het schiet al mooi op en wij wensen iedereen in het nieuwe pand veel werkplezier
Het inwijden doen wij straks graag met het nodige wijn en bier!

In 2019 Van Raam moved into the newly constructed business premises at Guldenweg 23 in Varsseveld. Meanwhile, Van Raam has continued to grow and there is less and less space in the current building. Therefore, Van Raam is building a new building, located directly next to the large premises. The building is expected to be ready in early 2022.
In the new building the service department of Van Raam will be located. In addition, next to the building additional parking places will be created for the employees of Van Raam.
