CYCALL for a community on Van Raams adapted bike Fun2Go
In Worthing and Lancing they are almost ready to start. The organization CYCALL just received their first adapted bike, the Van Raam side by side tandem Fun2Go and this is due to all the help and support of the community.
The Company with the interest of the community was built in May 2018 and Martine and Rob Walters who are the initiations, fundraisers and volunteers at the same time have been raising money through a campaign of crowdfunding in order to buy more adapted bikes and equipment such as the Wheelchair bike OPair and VeloPlus but also Fun2GO Bike Trailers so more people can cycle together.
Martine herself is a wheelchair user and loves to be outside and active. She further says that they are so excited about the project. They aim to offer the use of the bikes for a free but donations to CYCALL will be very welcome. They Want to grow and find premises where they can store their bikes and further, with the growths and development they want to become more mobile in order to get more locations covered and to give this service to as much people as possible. Martine WaltersThe Fun2Go side by side Tandem
The Fun2Go side by side tandem can be used by disabled adults and children, or anyone with a health issue which prevents them using a standard bike. The unique point is that you can sit next to each other instead of one after the other, what you have on a normal tandem. Furthermore, with the optional freewheel switch that can be turned on or off you can determine whether the rider (if mandatory) can cycle along. The optional freewheel hub has three positions:
Continuous movement of the pedal and the co-driver must pedal along.
Pedals of the co-driver move independently of the pedals of the main driver. The pedals run freely, and the passenger cannot cycle.
Pedals of the co-driver move independently of the pedals of the main driver. The co-driver can cycle along.
