A detachable frame at Van Raam bikes
A detachable frame can be an useful addition at a Van Raam special needs bike. The advantage is that the bike becomes more compact and making it easier to transport. This makes it easier for you to take your Van Raam bike with you on vacation!
What is a detachable frame
Every special needs bike from Van Raam can be performed with various options and accessories, so you can adjust your bike completely to your wishes.
With a detachable frame, the front of the bike can be disconnected from the rest. In this way, you can take the bike with you easier. For example, if you go on vacation or if you are going to cycle in a different area for a day. De part that can be disconnected, consists of the front fork, front wheel and steering part.
How does a detachable frame work with a Van Raam bike
Disconnecting the front from the rest of the bicycle is easy. In the frame, at the front fork, there is a coupling which can be opened by a second coupling and a rotary knob. Because of this, the front part of the bike can be dismantled in one part from the rest of the bike. This makes it easier to transport the bicycle.
In the video below there is demonstrated how the front part can be disconnected from the rest of the bike at the Twinny tandem bike.
